Colorado Teachers
Refunds from Union Political Deductions
The Colorado Education Association (CEA) raises political funds through
a structure known as Every Member Option (EMO). A certain amount
($39 in 2007-2008) is deducted from the paycheck of every member teacher.
The money exclusively finances political activities.
Some local CEA affiliates have a separate EMO. This money
is also refundable. You can also find information on the refundable AFT-Colorado

Dates to Revoke Union Membership
Deduction
Some Colorado school districts have negotiated a certain window of time
in which teachers must ask the district or union to stop deducting union
dues and membership fees from their paychecks for the entire school year.
